Damp Problems the Potential Cost of Ignoring your Gutter Maintenance .

Gutters are your Homes most Critical and Vital Defence against Water .

Discovering Damp when Selling your Home could cost many Thousand.

Gutter cleaning Nottingham is one of those maintenance routines your home or business can not do without , and I'll tell you why .
I've worked in the building trade for too many years now from new build homes on an Industrial scale to domestic property maintenance in Nottingham and then there's the fast pace Multi Billion Pound Food Industry , this business has no respect for anyone , know matter how long in the business or how far you bend over for their benefit on Christmas Eve or even New Years Day , You idiots know who you are , and the very best to you all .

Getting back to the point , neglect your gutter maintenance in Nottingham entirely at your own sometimes very expensive cost , Damp Industry is where the very expensive cost comes in , ask anyone who may be a little short of money and is trying to sell their home , they may or may not realise their home has a damp problem , that is until the potential buyers surveyor comes to your home with his briefcase and fancy damp or moisture detector ,  http://www.nice-n-white.co.uk/damp/damp solutions Nottingham need not be expensive.

Apart from my Nottingham based customers , I also work for a very large by to rent property owner from Huddersfield who recently due to Yorkshire Bank no longer providing mortgages moved to a new mortgage provider and due to his no longer property manager totally neglecting maintenance requirements had many potential RISING DAMP issues on a few of his homes all down to poor gutter maintenance and general neglect , had I not been there to meet the surveyors I have not a single shred of doubt he would have had to pay many thousand of pounds to put a non existent problem to bed , http://www.nice-n-white.co.uk/damp/

The Home that Spent Thousands to cure DAMP ,and n
Never fixed the cause .

Very recently acquired  new customer who was extremely worried about their new home on The Wells Road , Nottingham , this house had obviously had been plagued with damp for most of its life and this was entirely down to the massive trees on the hillside above this house , from new without maintenance , gutter cleaning it's gutters would have been blocked within years of building .
On an external inspection the house had already had 2 brick injected damp courses , each with a 20 year warranty , if you don't know water travels up through the cement not the bricks once damaged they will absorb water .
Along with this they had 3 or 4 extra air vents fitted into the brickwork , Aco drain installed by the front door , new storm water drain at the bottom of the gutters downpipe and the best of all new fascia and soffit boards , these only rot away when you do not clear out your gutters or you have leaking gutter joints onto the boards causing them to rot away over time , unfortunately these fascia fitters where lazy and run the gutters on both sides of the house through the top of the downpipe only drilling 3 small holes for the water to drain  ,one leaf and its game over overflowing gutters again almost instantly .
The obvious damage was 3 courses of bricks from the ground faceless , (broken) , and all around the downpipe and what used to be a window much the same .

Unfortunately due to lack of funds available by the customer , huge money was not necessary due to the simplicity of the problem  ,make roof watertight by replacing broken slates ,  gutter cleaning Nottingham  , remove gutter and cut so downpipe not covered the cause of all this homes problems , repair leaking joints and paint damaged bricks with a waterproof bituminous paint to prevent any more water penetration , most DAMP plagued homes have similar causes and it is NOT Rising Damp.
Most peoples damp is caused by lack of maintenance , your home never began with rising damp when first built so unless built on a bog and your membranes rotted away it's your lack of maintenance .
